將相變材料應用在避難硐室內有無需維護，無爆炸風險，性能穩定，使用壽命長等特點。相變材料隨溫度變化而改變形態并能提供潛熱的物質。相變材料由固態變為液態或由液態變為固態的過程稱為相變過程，這時相變材料將吸收或釋放大量的潛熱。相變材料可分為有機和無機相變材料，礦用的一般是無機相變材料。
相關產品分為兩種：避難硐室、相變降溫馬甲。
